Keeping faith in humanity !!!

We are a couple living in a nice little appartment. Chris, 28, is studying to become a teacher and I, 27 am studying e-commerce. We both love to host people and try to be the best hosts in Strasbourg.

ABOUT US

Laura : I consider myself as really helpful,I love to help everybody how and when I can. I love life and are aware of how important it is to see how beautiful everything around me is !

PHILOSOPHY

Laura : I feel that actually the best way to feel alive is "love", not only romantic love, but the love you can have as a friend or the love for something, like a moment you are in.
I feel like we have enough time to live our life like we want we just have to get out of our comfort zone! Couchsurfing is a great way to get to know the world and all the beautiful things that are hidden !!!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Laura : I have had 2 couchsurfing experiences, in Austria and UK it was great, I loved to share our experiences.
I had an amazing time in Austria visiting a friend of mine and couchsurfing with amazing people!
In London a friend of mine and myself couchsurfed at 2 different hosts, very helpful and nice persons. Had a great time thanks to them.
In Montreal we were hosted by amazing hosts, it is great to see how nice people can be !!!
Chris & Laura : We have been hosting for a month now and did meet a lot of different people from all over the world. Even if we were super busy it was amazing hosting all of these amazing people Iwe felt like travelling for a month. We are so looking forward to host even more people than and to go and visit the ones we hosted!

Interests

Laura :I love books, I spend more money on books than on clothes for example.
I like getting to know knew people, I am very outgoing and love to find new ways of getting to know everyone on earth... almost. I am a big fan of ride-sharing, have been traveling a lot lately like that. Best way to travel, you get to know people and it is good for the environment.
Cats! Cats are amazing, that is why I have 3, at my parents house.

Music, Movies, and Books

Laura : All time favourite book "Faust" from Goethe (in german of course). I read a lot so it is often difficult to find one that is better than the other ones, so many books have already impacted me that I can only say that "Faust" is the one that made me think longer than the other ones (I think still today 3 years later I am still thinking about this book and the meanings in it, what a genius this guy was!!).

Regarding music, of course I know my classics like Pink Floyd for instance! But I am still very open-minded and love to discover knew things like music from different countries, eventough I do not understand the lyrics, I can feel what it is about. I like commercial stuff too, but of course the best is classical music! Haha you can do anything while listening to classical music! When I listen to classical music while driving I feel like in a BMW ad, haha!!!!

Movies! The Beach, The life of David Gale, Lord of war, The village...mostly movies with a message about an utopian society/ world. I love movies that make us believe in actually what the world is a big melting pot and not somewhere where bad things happen!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Laura : For my 21st birthday I made a hot air balloon ride, it was amazing because I felt like a bird, like I was the king of the sky. The view was amazing and the feeling overwhelming.
I also worked for a french organization that helps poor people, I was in charge of wrapping gifts and collecting money. It was an enriching experience and I had the chance to participate to a big concert with a lot of famous french artists called 'Les Enfoirés', I was on stage with them, the feeling was amazing.

Laura : I can teach 5 languages!
I want to learn to cook exotic meals! And other languages.
I can share knowledge :)
