ABOUT ME

I am a linguist currently working on my PhD. It will be a description of a language in Southern Papua New Guinea.

I am a quiet peaceful person. I enjoy traveling because it offers a chance to experience a little bit of the mindset, mentality or worldview of a particular place and its people.

Interests

one of my hobbies is the visualisation of music. I have pursued this for some time as a VJ mostly for electronic music (jungle, breakcore, dubstep, ambient), but also for theatre performances or rock bands. I am always keen to see how other people approach this issue of visualising the emotions carried by a particular type of music.

apart from that, I like to eavesdrop on people's conversations at busy places. I like to think about the useage of language. this is probably a linguists problem :)

also, I like to read and talk about politics (not party politics, but more general issues).
