About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Living in Ghana, having an adventure while doing my part to help share opportunity and at the same time, be lucky enough to find it rewarding.

ABOUT ME

My personal motto that I try to follow is "Above all else: be kind. Even when you think it is undeserved."
I am open and an honest sociable person who is very accepting of others. I love travelling, exploring, meeting new people and sharing stories. Lots of interests and loves to try new things at least once.
Born in Yangon, Myanmar, grew up in Sydney, Australia, lived in London for 5 years, Berlin for a year, then Sierra Leone and now Ghana - with a few more places in between.
Now focused on sustainable development in agriculture & social impact.

PHILOSOPHY

It is an obligation of those privileged to do what we can to provide opportunity to those less so. When we recognise that privilege is purely luck, then there is no defence against choosing not to share it.
By listening and staying curious, we can learn from everyone.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When you travel, alone or with friends, you find that there's a real community of like-minded travellers who want nothing more than to share that experience with you and make it more positive in any way they can - this is what I feel Couchsurfing is, and why I want to be a part of it

Interests

Whenever possible, I do a lot of weekend travel - often by myself or with just one or two friends. I'm a determined idealist and firmly believe that we can do so many things we currently do in a better way, so am always happy to discuss how to make a positive change in life.
I'm also interested in innovations and alternative understandings/perspectives.
I love a drink and am passionate about coffee, especially in nice cafes or laid-back bars.
I also enjoy reading - formerly sci-fi/fantasy, but recently have taken to more travel stories, philosophy, history, memory and other books that challenge and deliver new ideas.
