Hi! My name is Chundan Singh and I am 23 years old. I started traveling when I was 15 years old and I have been living alone ever since. I played tennis at a pro level for several years and it enabled me to travel and meet an unbelievable amount of people. I would call myself an extrovert and it has helped me in my travels because I have met so many wonderful people. I now study Business Management at the University of Pisa and am lucky to live in an apartment by myself in Pontedera, a small town 20 minutes from Pisa and about 50 minutes from Florence.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because I love to travel. Now that I have the opportunity to give back and help other people by offering my house to them, I feel almost obligated to do so. I love hosting people and I love allowing them to have new experiences. For me that is one of the most rewarding things in life, and so Couchsuring seemed like a good way to give back to other people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I usually listen to progressive rock, alternative, or hardcore but I listen to rap and opera too. It's a wide range.
My favorite book is The Little Prince. I have read it in four languages so far.
My favorite movie is Fight Club.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to live in Spain for one month and blocked all of my preexisting contacts until I got back. I had no social media or methods of communicating with friends or family and simply lived for a month. I found that the friendships I made and the experiences I had were far more satisfying without my phone.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a little bit of a wine fanatic so I love to share that with people as well. I also am in love with languages. I speak three languages fluently (English, Spanish, Italian) and two more conversationally (Hindi and French) and am always trying to improve my language abilities and learn new ones.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have not given much thought to what I can share with hosts but I would certainly want to give them some compensation for their hospitality and help with whatever I can. I do not consider myself a selfish person and I wish to share my experiences and listen to theirs as well.
