Overview
About Me
Followed a job opportunity back to my amazing/beautiful/growing/small home town, Astoria, Oregon! After living in a slightly bigger small Oregon town for 12 years, the rural lifestyle is a bit of a shock. Currently renovating an old house with my husband and keeping very busy.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I got into Couchsurfing when I studied abroad in France in 2011-2012. I thought it was a really fun way to travel and I enjoyed meeting so many people through it. I have not been active since I came back to the states because I find that we usually end up camping/avoid big cities, so we don't look for people to stay with. I hosted a travelling band one time, but otherwise haven't been a host through Couchsurfing. I hope to host someone again in the future, but I'm not sure when that will happen.

Music, Movies, and Books
Of course this is so broad. I sometimes can't help singing, but would not say that I'm tremendously into music (compared to many people I meet). I like listening to music in the car and while cooking, but find I also enjoy silence and/or conversations. I went through a big audiobook phase but haven’t been engrossed in the types of tasks that allow for that sort of distractions in a while, so I’m slacking on my reading. I recently read the Index Card, and now I’m really excited about interest rates.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Married my favorite roommate, now we get to ask each other what is for dinner every day.
Teach, Learn, Share
Yes, it's important to teach, learn and share!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Clear communication, being a considerate guest, leaving spaces at least slightly cleaner than when I got there.
