ABOUT ME

-Vegetarian for 13 years
-Animal Lover *10
-I have 2 dogs that are my life but will also stop to adore every dog (and probably any other animal) I happen to walk past
-Nature is my favorite self care! Parks, hikes, beaches, mountains, camping, picnics, trees, rivers, lakes, a beautiful sunny day. a fire by a gorgeous full moon!
-I have an unnatural addiction to coconut and cherry chapstick
-My favorite smell is coconut-y sunscreen!
-Super excitable- basically a dog. And really hyper.
-I don't know how to sit still. I've tried.
-My nose twitches like the girl from bewitched (allergies). I usually don't even notice it. --I'm told I also subconsciously clear my throat softly and sound like I'm purring? I don't realize when I'm doing that either!
-I'm kind of obsessed with language, but I am not bilingual. I speak a little bit of a lot of languages (enough to spark a slow, basic conversation) and this is probably my biggest regret/to do list item!
-Even though I'm really organized, I don't plan things well. I'm really good at making spontaneous plans and running with them!
-I also get super excited about things and make way too many commitments for any human to follow through on

I may or may not be home much or able to hangout while you're here if you stay with me, but if I do have time and energy I LOVE to show my surfers around the city! We can find a good happy hour, a great live show, karaoke, hookah, BBQ if you want (but Ill always recommend Central BBQ because they have good veggie options for me ;) ), whatever you want.

I grew up in Blues City, so, there's that. I can find myself skipping around from Rap/hip hop/r&b, to reggae, to country, pop, and oldies. When driving I am almost always listening to rap & hip hop or reggae. (I grew up in Frayser, so Yo Gotti will always have my heart). Sean Paul and Shaggy won me over 15 years ago.

Movies: ALWAYS COMEDY! & movies about social justice, history, developmental disabilities or mental health (Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, Silver Linings Playbook) and anything Dakota Fanning has ever been in.

Books: Memoirs! Anything self-help/improvement, books about travel, clean eating (Ive got a small cookbook collection going), creative nonfiction. True Crime Stories and criminal psychology.

Camped by the river (and drunkenly skinny dipped in the freezing river) in Valle de Elqui in Chile

Stood in line with over 200,000 people and ate hangar at the Golden Temple in Amritsar;
Toured Lord Krishna's home in a tiny village in Gujarat, India

Talked my way out of a bribe when stopped by police in Cancun!
