ABOUT ME

I'm a very perky, fun loving person. I love meeting new people, and I think the best way to get to know someone is doing things that they love with them. I like to stay up late, wake up early, and take naps in the sunshine! I love reading. I have a special place in my heart for all things science fiction, but that doesn't keep me from exploring other genres.

PHILOSOPHY

I think it's always best to decide to have fun if it's at all possible. Because if you're having fun, then the worst thing that's going to happen is you're going to have fun, and then you're still having fun.

I really think that there is an upside to most circumstances, and that happiness is a frame of mind. I'm always looking for happiness and I try to bring a little sunshine to people's lives.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've mostly done couch surfing with people that I already know. I routinely stay with different friends when I visit around the United States. But I have done a little couch surfing with friends of friends I've been put in contact with, and I have to say my favorite thing is just being able to look into the average life of someone in the country I'm visiting. Going along for errands and helping out in the kitchen. Having freedom to explore, but also having a safe person to ask all my questions about cultural etiquettes.

Interests

I love interacting with people! I like to go out and play pool at the corner bar, or stay home and play board games all night. I love going for hikes and I like playing in the water, even though I'm a fairly terrible swimmer. I like doing arts and crafts, cooking, reading, watching movies and playing cards. I'll pretty much talk to anyone about anything, but I'm not an argumentative talker. I'm really into learning new things and doing the things that other people love.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love everything Sci-Fi. That aside I'm not very picky. I love to read. I love cartoons (pretty much anything disney or pixar is good by me). I like pretty mellow music most of the time, but if I'm going to go to a concert I'd rather it be something kind of intense, like techno or punk because I want to jump around a lot.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One time I went snorkeling at night with glow in the dark phytoplankton. That may sounds lame... but they are like fireflies... of the OCEAN! It was awesome!!! You swim, and where ever you move the water all these little plankton start glowing. MAGICAL!!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm pretty good at pool! I'd love to take you out to a bar and play some pool with you! I can also make soup out of pretty much anything. I can knit.. and if you're into that I can teach you how to make a scarf.

I'm really interested in learning more about climbing! I've done some bouldering indoors but I'd love someone to take me out and help me learn about outdoor climbing.

I'm also always interested in how other people cook, and what sorts of arts and crafts projects people are into.

I really want to learn how cars work! (That's vague... I mean working on the engine and all that jazz.)
