About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To have as much fun as I can without killing myself first or getting arrested by the Mexican Federales...
ABOUT ME
I'm pretty easy-going and I'm up for almost anything. I like to go out to bars/clubs to drink/dance and stagger/take a cab back to wherever I'm crashing/front lawn. I like reading and writing. Especially writing.
I have a pretty good sense of humour which is also pretty dark/sarcastic/slightly twisted. I have my talkative times and my quiet times. I'm pretty honest, straight-forward (except when I'm not), and even though I sometimes come across as being blunt, I just don't like wasting time when information is necessary, y'know? I'm a pretty nice guy and just like to have fun.
Also, I'm a big guy so if you only have a skinny couch, you'd better have a fat floor!
PHILOSOPHY
Live and let live. I guess I just go with the flow and let things unfold as they will. It's been my experience that if I start messing around, things don't turn out as they should. Also, one saying I feel holds true: You can't judge someone until you've walked a mile in their shoes. That way, you have their shoes and you're a mile ahead of them... ; p
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've never done the "formal" couchsurfing thing thru this site but I remember once when I was staying over at a buddy's place. He gave me the couch (dumpster special). Looked ok, but one of the wooden beams that goes across underneath the cushion area was broken which left me lying on the one that wasn't. Let's just say I slept in his much comfier chair, sitting up.
Interests
Urban exploration, paintball, skydiving, sillyness, movies, PeopleWatching, drinking, dancing (especially after drinking), comedy, speed, music, "What would happen if I did this..." within reason, travelling, meeting new people and drinking with new people while travelling. Interesting things too, be they buildings, pictures/artwork, places... as long as it's like nothing I've ever seen before. Before, during and after a road trip, shouting at the top of my lungs, "ROOOAD TRRRIIIIP!". The excitement of planning then waiting to go on a long deserved trip. And, of course, the feeling I get when I'm somewhere I've never been... I look around and get all warm and tingly. And then I smile. Big. : ) Ahh.... true freedom. More addictive than, well, anything else. WOOOOOOO!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Skydiving. Nothing quite like it. But I need to do it again sometime soon. The one time I jumped off a cliff into water was also great. Kinda got freaked out when I realized that I was higher up than I thought but once you jump... ; p
A close second is walking through the old abandoned Canada Barley Mill in Toronto. Looked like a total horror movie set but so very kewl.
Teach, Learn, Share
I believe that everyone has the ability to control their destiny, to a degree. I believe that breaching any barrier that stands in the way of a goal is totally possible just by looking within yourself and finding the answer there. We all have it inside us. Some are just better at finding it. Doesn't matter what it is; from one extreme (skydiving) to another (getting the courage to talk to strangers). All this is within us and can totally be unlocked if we do one super critical thing: open our minds. Open your mind. The world is a much more interesting place when you've done that, completely and honestly. Do it. You'll be glad you did. ; )
