About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To preserve my knees but still have a good time.

ABOUT ME

I'm a relaxed fellow who enjoys making music and poking around the fat corners of the internet.

PHILOSOPHY

Creating, yet not possessing. Working, yet not taking credit. Work is done, then forgotten. Therefore it lasts forever.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've mostly hosted but have also had a great surfing experience in Hong Kong.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been lucky to get only good surfers and one incredible host. 100% great experiences with couchsurfing.

Interests

I'm interested in most things... it's kind of a bad habit. Making and listening to music is huge. I'm also currently going through a tennis phase (update: this phase has lasted several years now).

Music, Movies, and Books

Recently read (as of November 2016): The Rum Diaries, American Pastoral, Underground

I love many different genres of music but I have a great weakness for off kilter indie stuff right now: Pavement, Stereolab, Akron/Family, etc.

Movies... umm Dancer in the Dark, Suicide Club, Russian Ark, Being John Malkovich, Breakfast Club, Miyazaki flicks... I'm forgetting at least 100 of my faves.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Took part in a New Year's water fight (Pi Mai?) in Luang Prabang, Laos. Balled at Rucker Park in New York. Got rowdy at a 76th floor pool party at W Hotel in Hong Kong.

Umm, as I look back upon my life one of the greatest moments that comes to mind is when I pitched an 8 inning shut-out in one of my final Little League all-star games. Depressing or glorious?

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you guitar if you want or how to create delicious bachelor food. If we play a match of FIFA at a PS3 Bang you'll probably end up as my student ;)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Backyard BBQ and rides in my sweet 1992 Jetta.

Countries I’ve Visited

China, Colombia, Ecuador, France, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Laos, Malaysia, Mexico, Monaco, Singapore, Thailand, Turkey, United States, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia, Canada, Japan, South Korea
