About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My current mission is to make friends, share stories and explore lands by travelling. Through this I seek to gain inspiration to write a story about my adventures.

ABOUT ME

I am a fairly layed back kind of person with good morals. I like to enjoy life and have fun but I also think I need time to relax. I am more of a listener than a talker but that doesn't mean I don't like to chat. I like to think that I make a good friend and try to help people out where I can.

I love football, both playing and watching, it is a great sport that brings people together. A good football match (playing in or watching) can help you put some of your troubles aside and loose yourself for 90 minutes at least.

I am quite hard working and I currently work in marketing which is a challenging role but also creative.

I enjoy travelling, seeing new places and meeting people so I will look forward to good couch surfing experiance.

PHILOSOPHY

Enjoy life and each other!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I find Couchsurfing is a means of bringing together both friendships and cultures. I have been fortunate enough to make some wonderful friends in various countries and sharing experiences and stories. I love exchange visits. It is always great to host a friend who has hosted me. Now I am traveling again I hope to continue the adventure...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been lucky enough to experience couchsurfing a number of times and have met some very nice people along the way. What I like about it is you meet like minded people who have an interest in travel and exploration.

I think Couchsurfing allows one to experience traveling, and the adventure that comes with it, with a local insight. Allowing one to escape from the norm of so called travellers/tourists who revel in the regular tourist spots.

Interests

I love traveling and making friends. I think a journey is defined by the people you meet not by the places you go. I think an experience is made by how it is shared. I love adventure. My aim is to document my experience in the form writing and photography. Although I am easily distracted by simply enjoying the very experiences I wish to write about and photograph.

On general matters I enjoy sport. Especially football both playing and watching. I like to keep fit. I enjoy a good party and going out to clubs and bars and I can also enjoy a night in. A nice home cooked meal and some good red wine is just the ticket. Although I'll be honest I'm not the best cook. But I am learning.

I really want to learn a second language. My original plan was to learn Spanish but after all the friends I made in Brazil I'm under a little pressure to learn Portuguese. I'll do my best...

I love films especially ones with a good story. I like arts and good design, simple, abstract etc. I enjoy visiting new places, meeting new people and learning about them.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like a wide range of films that include gangster and mafia films like Donnie Brasco, Casino, Goodfellas etc. I also like films such as Slumdog Millionaire as it has such a good story and many more.

I like house and trance mainly but enjoy most music genres.

I don't often have enough time to read as much as I would like to but I have read The Lord of the Rings, amoungst others, which I really enjoyed. One of the best books I have read is the story of Donnie Brasco which is a true story. Mr Nice, by Howard Marks, is also an interesting story.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been lucky enough to see many great things across the world during my travels but my world trip spanning over a year is the best thing I have ever done. If I had to choose a special moment during that time it would be when I got the opportunity to swim with wild dolphins in New Zealand. The combination of a picturesque sunrise over the ocean and hundreds of wild dolphins intrigued by my presence in the water was quite simply amazing.
