About Me

Names Dan I'm 34 an traveling throughout my early 20s (21) til I was 31 was all I ever really thought about and did in life.

Well Over a decade ago I set myself a goal and that was to complete at least 7 wonders of the world 🌎.

Within that 10 year peroid I closed the number at over 30 world wonders and touched down on 6 out of the 7 continents.

In the not so distance future I do plan on doing and setting off to Antarctica to offically make it 7 out of 7 but when that is going to happen i have no clue im currently putting all my time and money into renovating my house 🏠 lol and that is another journey within in itself.

My ambitious and sparky young self made it a real personal mission to conquer the world 🌎 (didn't we all say that at 20 haha 😆) and I truly gave it my all and honestly I didn't do to bad within that time frame I set myself of 10 years. (21-31)

Biggest travel adventures and most memorable the years off would be ✨️.

Just over 2 weeks diving in the Galapagos Islands 🏝
Ecuador 🇪🇨 .

Spent 12 days Hiking to Everest base camp with my brother In Nepal 🇳🇵

Spending time in Iceland 🇮🇸 and Finland 🇫🇮 chasing the northern lights.

Sneaked into Russia 🇷🇺 haha (wouldn't do that in a today's world but hay their was no protected boarder between Russia and Finland back in the early pre covid days.

16 days hiking 🚶‍♂️ through the Amazon rainforest in Peru 🇵🇪.

2 months traveling on a bus through, North America
🌎 🇺🇸 🇨🇦

6 weeks traveling around South America 💫🙋

Lived in Bangkok, Thailand 🇹🇭 for 12 months (party year) 🥳

Their are so many aweosme little adventures I've went out and seen but those ones mentioned are the ones that I learnt the most, but again each trip brought something new and different.

Over the years I managed to smash out over 50 country's and over 400 major cities so my carbon footprint today would of 100% been unacceptable to some 😅.

After a decade of experiencing most of lifes talked about adventures, I would like to think it's produced a super confident person who doesnt really second guess himself to much and when I want to get something I just do it now without hesitation.

Fast forward a few more years and I'm now settled in Cairns, Queensland.

I brought my first home at 31 and its located in a sleepy little town just 40 minutes from Cairns CBD called Babinda (the outer suburb I call it 😁)

The reason I have choosen to extend my roots here is because my house is right at the very door step of a rainforest filled with amazing waterfalls, nature walks and animals (everything that makes North Queensland beautiful), I now have it everyday as my normal.

In a today's world I work in the mining industry over in Perth WA, I fly in and out of Cairns on a 14 day on 14 day off roster (part time working life).

I have 2 weeks off each month now to enjoy the things Im now dedicated to in my life which is reptiles and I have gotten back into playing playstation 🙃.

I do how often spend the odd few days in Airlie Beach or staying in the Daintree rainforest tree houses near Cape tribulation so Im out and about just no way near as much much anymore but I enjoy the peace and quiet lifestyle i have now and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Even tho the time in my life of traveling full time and just doing what I want is rather the past now I truly think eventually us travellers don't ever lose the wanderlust we have but for a life of stability we have to plant roots somewhere weather it be in yours 30s or 40s it does happen.

I can host the right people from generally Fridays to mondays on my off weeks as life for me these days has all the other stuff attached to it like a part time career, 10 reptiles, a mortgage and I've started learning how to renovate and build things on my days off so it's a relaxing lifestyle.

I would definitely say im still super out going and super friendly an my key interests still are most definitely will remain getting amongst diversity and learning new people that part never dies and won't die out.

I will and always be a firm believer in indifference, because it is vital to learning an progressing in life as a individual, even tho I spent all my 20s traveling and now early 30s it's a new life and direction I lead.

Biggest travel achievement i can say is🏆 I came in 8th in a world wide travel competition the platform is called travello its basically a traveller app. In early 2017 out of the 4800 people like myself I made it in the top 15 then 10 and finally was placed 8th globally so for me it was the best thing for recognising my past and present travel blogs and experiences.

I have 8 domesticated catpet pythons (non vemonous) and 2 frillneck dragons in my house the frillnecks sleep in my room because they are like house cats spent the past 2 years training them as babies even tho they aren't to fond of other people I do share a very special bond with all my reptiles. There are tanks for the snakes so they don't just roam about haha have to mention this because snakes and lizards isn't everyone's thing never used to be mine but well that also changed aslo 😊.

Even tho it's a 50/50 chance of being able to host you guys send me a message, I'll always be happy to help and show people like myself around the area I live and give back because so many people did me.

All the best of your travels and adventures ⭐️🌠.

Dan 🤓
