About Me

Just finished high school June of ‘23. Have worked (warehouse tech & event tent installer) for many years saving money💰and have decided to go on the road before (maybe) attending university. Been on the road since November of 2023 and loving every minute of it 🤘

Lived out of a backpack 🎒for most of September while thru hiking the Vermont Long Trail. Got bit by the travel/adventure bug and jumped on a flight to Switzerland 🇨🇭where I stayed with friends around the Schengen Area 🇪🇺 for a short while.

Booked a one way ticket to Zambia 🇿🇲 and ended up living in the north of the country until my visa expired a few months later. I could have extended it, but knew if I stayed much longer I’d never leave 😬. Have fallen in love 😍with Africa and the people who inhabit it. Hope to one day travel to Northern Africa 🌍

Left Zambia 🇿🇲 when my visa expired in February and met my best friend in Paris. We toured around Hungary and Romania before he had to go home. Since then traveled all over Europe solo. I had exceptional experiences in Eastern Europe and the Balkans, but love each country I’ve visited for different reasons.

Now on my way to Morocco 🇲🇦 and hope to travel by land to Mauritania 🇲🇷 and possibly Senegal 🇸🇳 in the coming weeks.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Learned about Couchsurfing from a host I met on the road and just want to be a part of this deeply human community.

I’m really excited by the idea of a social platform designed specifically to help travelers share and interact with each other’s cultures.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
Warren Zevon, Grateful Dead, Phish, Billy Strings, Profane Sass

Movies:
Don’t watch films very much. Still, always enjoyed seeing classics like A Clockwork Orange, The Big Lebowski, Barton Fink, and anything by Mel Brooks

Books:
Read a variety of genres, mostly non-fiction. Interested in classical philosophy, particularly Plato’s works.

Keep finding myself rereading Jon Krakauer’s Into Thin Air, Jack Kerouac’s On the Road, and Warren Zevon’s Biography I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Vermont Long Trail NOBO ‘23
Participated in Seville’s Semana Santa Celebration

Teach, Learn, Share

Interested in learning basics of local language and culture. More seriously studying German 🇩🇪, so any help there would be great.

Love to talk all things Science, Math, or Philosophy 📚

Don’t have much to give other than my time. Will always cover drinks 🍻 (for as long as I can keep up :) ) and happy to chip in to pay for food

What I Can Share with Hosts

I’m an avid writer and serial storyteller. If you care to chat I would love to exchange stories from the road 🧳

Happy to help with any chores around the house. Not the best cook, so you may not want to venture into that territory with me, but happy to clean 🧹 wash dishes 🧼, or run errands 🛒 if needed
