I'm down to earth, easy going person who tends to be blatantly honest. I have a zany, unquenchable sense of humor. I'm both a good listener and conversationalist, providing the topic isn't some drama/gossip/psycho-babble. I have a small dog named Tyler who is my absolute best friend and joy to be around.
I spent most of my career in the computer tech industry. For a short time I was semi-retired, but wasn't satisfied where my career, and life in general, had landed me in life. I decided to travel a new road and found an organization to help the homeless not only get off the street, but become employed and eventually back to a place of self-sufficiency in life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

While pursuing the founding of a non-profit organization, the finances I had set aside in the bank ran out. I believed they would hold me over until the non-profit was up and running, I was wrong. Now I do house/dog sitting jobs when I can get them which helps get Tyler and I off the street for short periods of time. In between those jobs we are outside, and that can take its toll after a bit.
I’d like to have a type of couch surfing network. A group of individuals who would periodically let me come over and crash on their couch for a couple of days. No long term stays or anything like that. Maybe two days tops from time to time.
If you’d be willing to be a part of my couch surfing network, awesome, please let me know. If you know people who’d be down with this sort of thing, please let them know.
Just two things:
1. I’m highly allergic to cats, so I won’t stay in a home with cats.
2. My dog Tyler and I are a package deal. It’s both of us or nothing.

Interests

i have a wide variety of interests, I suppose. TVwise: I like shows such as NCIS, CSI, Big Bang Theory, The Voice and America's Got Talent.
Leisure Timewise: I like video gaming (PS3), Facebooking, forum posting, Tweeting a little bit, walking my dog while he's walking me, creative writing of various sorts and types.
I'm quite certain my interests are far more numerous than that. Those are simply the ones most frequent.

I pretty much like all genres of music. I'm just a flat out music lover. It'd be easier to list the types of music I don't like, which are: Hard Rap, Depressing Country, Thrash Metal.
Movies: Too numerous to recount. Most Recent: All the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit. Frozen. Taken (All of them), Happy Feet and all the super hero movies.
Books: Anything written by the following Authors: Anne Rice, Mark Twain, J.R.R. Tolkien and Dean Koontz
