About Me

I love to travel, "the desire to be a pilgrim is deeply rooted in human nature" I read this somewhere. So I took a job that allowed me to travel much. I have lived in Africa, the Middle East, West Asia, and Central Asia. now I don't travel as much as before. I have made great friends on Couchsurfing, I like this community, and I'd like to give back too
------------------------------------------------------------------------
I spent more than 5 years writing jokes and doing open mic and stand-up showcases

I want to live the rest of my life based on "goodwill", stand-up comedy is offensive, everyone knows that, perhaps I couldn't justify the motivation of my offensive jokes, and maybe that's why I couldn't keep it up... apart from that, I do think I have written some good jokes
------------------------------------------------------------------------

I can be a bit weird, I don’t know why. For example, wherever I went to a dinner party, I noticed that I was the only person who drank milk during dinner

------------------------------------------------------------------------
I love learning new things, now I am hooked on life science and astronomy, the Big Bang thoery

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I used to work abroad for a long time and I also travelled quite a bit. Couchsurfing is always a great platform for meeting interesting people all over the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

When I was a teenager I loved Britpop, Rolling Stones, Placebo, Blur, etc.
in my adult period: because I went living in francophone countries, I listened to a lot of French hip-hop, IAM, MC Solaar, Stromae, etc.
Post Covid: Vivaldi, 50s 60s Shanghai Jazz
Since I joined the choir, I have become a big fan of Anglican High Church hymns and anthems. I do find Latin lyrics very difficult, it’s all Greek to me.

Movies: I didn’t watch that many movies, but I did watch many British TV series and panel shows

Books:
My favourite book is Jane Eyre

Little Women, Hobbit, the Old Man and the Sea. Alchemist.
I love children's literature, I also love the story of Daniel and Hosea
