ABOUT ME
My girlfriend and I have been travelling for 6 years following the Snow for 2 years working in Australia, New Zealand and Japan. We also lived for half a year in Thailand completing our dive master certifications. With a year and a half in Canada where we spent time hiking in summer and snowboarding in winter. We also thought it was a good idea to buy a very old campervan and drive up through Alaska to live in the sleepy goldmine town of Dawson City, Yukon. Turns out it was a great idea! Our most recent trip involved a self converted SUV camper, a sailboat and 11 months in South America.
We are fun, chilled and loving life. Love meeting new friends and learning new things. I (Danny) like to challenge myself to try anything new that can be done/tried/eaten overseas. A shot of whiskey with a human toe (donated of course) in far northern Canada take the top spot for weirdest experience we have both partaken in.
We are also in the process of renovating our new home. At times it may be less of a house and more of a worksite but we would still enjoy people coming through if it works for them.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When we can't be travelling, we love to meet people who are. It gives us the chance to continue learning and a taste of the freedom that we crave from travel. There is nothing better than meeting new people and sharing with them.
Interests
Travel, Adventure, Snowboarding, Diving, being outdoors in general. Having fun, Renovating - Taking something old or broken and giving it new life :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Scubadiving with whalesharks and bullsharks of the island of Koh Phangan, Thailand.
Teach, Learn, Share
We can help with travel recommendations. We would love to share as much as possible. Always something to share. Always something to learn.
We have also designed a couple custom 4x4 camper conversions and can always help with ideas and offer our tools if anyone is travelling by car.
