About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I want to change my perspective by knowing new cultures, people and sharing my own culture.

PLEASE READ THE WHOLE THING

I am a Mexican entrepreneur (from Mexico City) an easygoing person who loves also traveling around this country and abroad when possible. I am generally busy trying to be entrepreneur and millenial.

Love showing people as much as I know about Mexico and I love knowing more about my surfers culture, the cultural differences, where they have travelled, how is their gastronomy and so on.

I am sort of new in Merida, so I'm still figuring out how local people are and how the city works because believe it or not even to us as chilangos (people from Mexico City), is difficult to understand how Yucatan works. Therefore, I can just give you basic recommendations of how to do, where to eat and how to move and so on.

Please remember to wear the mask is mandatory in Yucatan in both open and closed areas.

By the way, if you are coming on Saturday and if you want to do some hiking just let me know with time enough and we could do book together a cheap local hiking route, so we are exploring the jungle, seeking for hiding pyramids, go to hidden beaches or cenotes or whatever the route will be.

I am regularly busy in the week working remotely, sometimes is not possible for me to hangout but we can see if we might have a drink in a bar or just get some beers or we'll see what might comes in the evening or in the night.

I am the person who likes sharing what I have when possible, and I am very welcoming also. Mexicans we like to share our culture and more with others. If I have candies, I might make you try them, If I have something I can share (candies, food, water) I would do it, so I would expect the same from you if you are staying at my place.

We could plan cooking together also or going to the fresh market or just teach you some Spanish...don´t know.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

It´s been a long time since I do not accept guests but I have a huge space to share and want to make new friends, know their culture and share great experiences, hangout, party or even cook together.

I have also made great parties for the CS community in Mexico City.

I have become an active member in CS since December 2013. I have gone to weekly meetings "La Institucional" and really love talking to new people and meet the CS community. Also, I have hosted people and hanged out with them when they want to know the most typical places and food of MXC.

By 2014 , I organized the CS New Years Eve Party, the best party I have had in my life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My best friend suffered an aneurysm and was in an induced comma for two weeks. When I learnt that, I immediately looked for a way to buy a flight to Slovenia in order to visit her. Nothing was more important for me in that moment but to be by my best friend´s side. I wasn´t sure that she was going to be already out of that comma or not when I landed, just wanted to be there. I took 3 flights to reach Slovenia (even the first time I traveled to Europe). Couldn´t believe that I would do that for someone. Now, she is recovering and feeling better day by day :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can give you some cultural details about the Mexican culture, teach you Spanish or English and also can share some experience, may be a dinner or a beer with you.

Currently living at Merida, so I'm basically new in the city, I do not know too much about places but we can explore them together.

If you are available on weekends, we could make a plan to go hiking to hidden pyramids, or kayak or somewhere else.
