About Me

Currently sailing in the South Pacific running from the Virus.

I will update location when I have internet.

ABOUT ME

I have and continue to travel a good deal for work and play. As many on CS know, the best memories I have had are when I met "strangers" who gave just a bit of their time. From the guy named Dave on my first trans Atlantic flight who showed my how to find my way through the airport and how to find a train station to many who shared their home with me.

My hope is to give a similar experiences to others.

PHILOSOPHY

For every one given you receive two yet only if you never expect anything.

Balance, always try to achieve and keep it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As of Feb 2010 I surfed a couch and starting to be addicted. Yet still favor hosting more then surfing :) My previous "couch" experiences have been with the organization SERVAS. Where I enjoyed SERVAS hospitality in Denmark, USA, and Hungary. I’ve met some really interesting and sometimes crazy but quality people during my SERVAS stays and hosting. Work and commitments have removed my time for wanderlust but not my desire especially for meeting others and giving back what so many have given me. Zukhra, Zebo and Lobar are still trying to understand Couch Surfing :) and as they grow older and travel they are starting to see why CS is so much fun :)

Interests

I see my "job" to develop economies one person at a time. I have solutions for all the worlds problems, based on economics. So you could say my interest is economic development. I also renovate flats in my spare time giving me physical feeling of accomplishment and answering questions from Zebo and Lobar.

Music, Movies, and Books

Baby Island, My side of the Mountain, Fortune at the bottom of the Pyramid, My books show how I have changed over time. Now I primary read non-fiction dealing with how to save the world or its ills. Maybe CS is one of the answers! ? :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Left the safety of the Midwest USA to the EU and Africa
Returned a year later as a different person. Adopted a family, which I call my own, making me a better person and rethinking what is important.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have an answer for everything. :) OK it is my opinion but I am happy to share it :) Always collecting information on how to make the world a better place. Will never come to a conclusion but open to learn the opinions and believes of others to add to my own.
