ABOUT ME

though i am 26 years old, i still feel very young at heart. some people say I am a wise old soul? Dunno...About me, i have lived in Cape Town all my life and know Cape Town like the back of my hand. i may leave CT because it will never leave me. Right.

Yes i have travelled to America a couple of times for student exchange, holiday and summer camp. also Canada, Zimabawe and Qatar for holidays. But this is the first time I am in europe. I am studying my masters in Potsdam, Germany at the moment till end of december 2009. Berlin is the most interesting city I have been to and it never cease to amaze me.

funny thing is, I just have only joined couchsurfing about a month ago (July 2009). I REGRET not joining this website much earlier. I can see all the fun I have been missing out from couchsurfing, and all the great people out there! So this is my new beginning...

PHILOSOPHY

Life is isnt about keeping the score. It is not about how many people call you and it is not about who youve dated, are dating or havent dated at all. It isnt about who youve kissed, what sport you play, or which guy or girl likes you.Its not about your shoes or your skin or where you live or go to school. In fact, its not about grades, money, clothes or colleges that accept you or not. Life isnt about if you have a lot of friends, or if you alone and its not about how accepted or unaccepted you are. Life just isnt about that.

But life is about who you love and who you hurt. Its about how you feel about yourself. Its about trust, happiness and compassion. Its about sticking up for your friends and replacing inner hate with love. Life is about avoiding jealousy, overcoming ignorance and building confidence. Its about what you say and what you mean. Its about seeing people for who they are and not what they have. Most of all, it is about choosing to use your life to touch someone elses in a way that could have never been achieved otherwise. These choices are what lifes about.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was on holiday with a group of university friends in Pringle Bay. we partied into the night and decided to hit the beach around 2am. when we got there, we saw the waves GLOWING as they rolled on to the shore at night. Such a sight! We began to stomp around in the soupy sand and laugh as we played in the water. Our footprints literally glowed behind us as we walked along the beach. Even our playful splashes in the shallow water glowed as they flew through the air. It was a night to remember.

and also the grestest thing I have done was to dress as Tinkerbell when I was small, say 8, and donate a trolley full of teddy bears to all the little sick children in the Red Cross children's hospital. i came across a girl who was dying of liver cancer. When I first came to the room, i saw her. she smiled at me and I smiled. Oh such a smile! In that smile, i felt the world has stopped and i floated in the glory of her smile. I cant explain it though.some kind of spiritual experince. the one i never forget. then i gave a teddy to her. the art of giving, when the reciever gets flowers, the giver leaves with the fragance on the hands.
