About Me

We live in a quintessential part of California, in the middle of the Wine Country in the heart of Sonoma, just north of San Francisco (about 1 hour by car). The private suite we offer to our guests has a king-size memory foam bed with its own bathroom and adjoining closet and kitchenette. The entire property has breathtaking views of the Valley of Sonoma and the sunsets are truly incredible. The pool/hot tub are heated and we use it most days around sun down. There is a ton of wineries to visit around, and many other things to do.

We prefer well-mannered male guests, one at a time, with some exceptions for couples with a good track record. Sorry but we CANNOT host more than two people at one time, and we WILL NOT host folks with no references. Also, apologies, but we can very rarely host last minute as well. Please avoid requests within less than a week or two. We have busy lives and more often than cannot change our plans within just a few days notice.

We travel a lot and we are happy to say we have lots of guests. We truly enjoy the company of others and are always happy to host, but we try and be mindful of it being a mutually good fit. Though we tend to be independent, we enjoy sharing meals with our guests when time allows. We are delighted when guests are inclined to cook a dinner one evening and leave a clean space and bathroom behind them. It's pretty much the only thing we ask in return. If you don't want to give a little bit of your time and own hospitality sense, kindly look elsewhere. We like some sort of a two-way street. We have always done the same when we travel and enjoyed other folks' hospitality.

When at home, we are busy professionals (in the fields of architecture, design and metaverse) who like to host and share but we confess we can't always take the time to spend as much as time with our guests as we would like when work gets crazy. Up in our country house, we tend to work in the gardens all day and relax in the evening and share a glass of wine and dinner and perhaps a soak in the pool as the sun goes down. Yet when the timing is right, we love to spend more time together. Just please don't have any expectations. We however will always have some recommendations of things to see and interesting walking tours of our really beautiful area. On the weekends, we love to garden and work on the land, and spend time with friends and guests.

We're a married couple with a passion for traveling and discovering other cultures and opinions. We gladly share our home and we like to think we offer a serene environment for avid, tidy and respectful explorers, who know how to formulate a meaningful request and understand that Couchsurfing is a two-way street.

As for us, we are fully vaccinated and boosted, reboosted, and monkeypoxed (optional for most). Sorry we can't open our home to anyone who is not fully vaccinated against so as to not endanger our society any further than science sought to prevent. Upon inquiring, kindly share your vaccination status.

Thursdays to Tuesdays are generally most available, unless you are a returning guest/friend that we already know and trust who can stay at either of our homes including the one in SF without us. We have made so many friends on this platform, for which we are so grateful. We hope to continue making new friends with kind and generous souls from all over.

Thanks for your interest!
