About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Making the world a better place, of course...

ABOUT ME

I am currently enrolled at Goethe University in Frankfurt, majoring in philosophy and history. Since it is not self-evident nowadays, I have to add that studying is what I do in the first place. I study philosophy, because I have a genuine interest in analyzing complex philosophical problems and critically challenge existing systems and orders. I appreciate living in a society that allows me develop intellectually, but I'm still trying to figure out how to usefully apply theoretical knowledge to the "real world" and contribute to a more emancipated society. To cut a long story short: I'm not yet sure what i'm going to do with a degree in philosophy. Fortunately, I have 6 more semesters to make up my mind. However, I am convinced that meeting new people from different places with different perspectives will help me along that way and that is one great reason for me to participate in couchsurfing.

Interests

I played basketball with quite some ambitions until I realized (some time after high school), that there may be more important things in life. But after all I'm still a sportive type of guy. Since I do not have pressure to perform anymore, I like to engage in almost any kind of physical activity, from hiking or cycling to riding the "Ripstik" (check it out :))
