About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'm a world changer, facilitating communitiy building processes with grassroot organisations around the world. I believe in making changes, more justice, respect for each others, cooperativism instead of competition, unity instead of individualism.

ABOUT ME

I have traveled a lot since I was a teenager. I have interest in other cultures and love nature. I have lived quite interesting and different experiences. I try to live a simple life, with little, aware of the inequalities on this Earth, trying to make changes. I think it is necessary to build up alternative ways of living, so I'm very active in the ecovillage international movement. I give workshops/lectures/conferences/seminars about ecovillage development, sustainable design systems, appropriated technology, natural building, consensus, intensive food production, LETS and alternative economical systems, along others. I'm a founder member of the norwegian NGO CHANGE THE WORLD, the colombian NGO Darien Foundation, and ENA (Ecovillage Network of the Americas). I have lived in the first ecovillage in Colombia and one of the first one in Latin America, in the Darien rainforest, also at the first ecovillage in Norway, Hurdalsjøen Økolandsby, and now one in formation, Foldsæ Levefelleskap in Fyresdal, Telemark, Norway. I've being visiting permaculture and ecovillage projects in many countries, and have facilitated and helped groups in their challenges to achieve a more sustainable life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Have spent almost 10 years of my life in the most biodiverse region worldwide, in the Darien jungle, at the Choco Biogeographic region in Colombia, where I started together with a group of friends the first ecovillage in Colombia. I have also lived in the Hurdal ecovillage, the first one in Norway and on the Mountains of Telemark in the middle of nordic wilderness in Norway, where we build up the Telemark Center for Sustainability. I have also lived in Sandøya island, 3 hours south from Oslo, a great place to live in with 200 people. We have moved with my family to Colombia, to San Rafael, Antioquia, 3 hours from Medellin, where we are building up a new sustainable living project together with 15 families in the country side.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share know how in permaculture, appropriate technologies, bioconstruction, consensus, along other relative subjects around Sustainability. I would like to share the web of our NGO, since I think there are many interesting and innovative information to spread around, in order to make a different and better world. www.world-changers.org

What I Can Share with Hosts

Great living experiences from different ecovillages and social processes in various countries around the world. Being co-founder of the first ecovillage in Colombia in the middle of the Darien Rainforest within the Choco Bioregion, close to the border with Panama in the Uraba Gulf. Wild nature beside the caribbean coast at Trigana Bay. At the most biodiverse region worldwide, to the first ecovillage in Norway at Hurdal ecovillage, living as well at an antroposophic community and working at an Steiner School in Fyresdal at the Telemark mountain. Various processes regarding conservation and sustainability, from preservation of the leatherback sea turtle, restoration of forest and declaration of natural private reserves from the civil society to living experiences with various indigenous communities, afrocaribbean communities, paysans, knowing their cultures and traditions. These are real life experiences!!!
