2005 To find a good university!

Long time has passed since I was more active in CS community. I joined in 2009 and last time I updated this was 6 years ago. So much has happened. I have decided not to delete what I put back then to keep the registers.

2022 My current mission is to

ABOUT ME

I like rural places, not very good to be a tourism person to take a picture and go away rather to stay and enjoy of the people and their culture and OF COURSE Their food. I like all kind of music specially "world music" yes...yes... I like to try different things but I am not a "blind" open mind person, I do have strong opinions about TON OF THINGS and I am also trying to be as coherent as I can in my life, to think, to speak and to act in the same way...so difficult :-)

I am working in research about collective action (in case someone is also in this path) I love my career and I like to explore more about human behavior and our (humans) relationship to mother nature (la pachamama)! However, I am not an environmentalist, sorry.

I am back to Ecuador since marck after living in Germany and Peru. I have a lot to do here at my home.

2022 Wow! Not a lot has changed about me. Just that I am back in Europe.
And that I put together a journalist blog for independent journalism and research on environmental problems in Ecuador. and Galapagos. Is a hard road to independent and live to say something but here I am. Please follow www.bitacoraec.com @BitacoraEC

2020 I think HC not even exists these days. I am getting old. I am glad CS survive.

Interests

Dancing, salsa, bachata, merengue, electronica (but it has to be really good), cumbia, etc.
Writing I have to find the time. I was published twice (nothing famous)poetry and short tales. NOT novels...I honestly cannot read a novel but A LOT of time get hook with the Novelas (sopes), very romantic latinamerican stories where anyone finds love especially if the one is poor but extremely Beautiful :-)

2022: Thank GOD I do not follow Novelas anymore :-)

Music, Movies, and Books

I can watch basically anything from hollywood until almodovar. I have to admit that I like the most films by Tarantino, Stanley Kubrik yes I have a very sarcastic humor...Books the last I read was Saramago, CAIN and I liked very much, I like tales, poetry and serious books about the world ;-)Music same any music as long as is creative that includes any music YES regeton, cumbias, vallenatos, chicheras...etc

2020: now I do not like reggeaton anymore but not from my elite pedestal of right or wrong music, just I do not like it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have planted 2000 trees until now. I grew my own food for 4 years not anymore. I have done my family happy...I think so :-).

2022: I funded an environmental journalist blog together with FV a known environmental journalist of Ecuador., mostly in Spanish but also in English and German. www.bitacoraec.com @BitacoraEC Is amazing because we hace managed to be independent and truly speak about "green washing", trafficking and other important stuff that no one wants to face.
