About Me

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have couchsurfed in Zagreb and Pula in Croatia and absolutely loved it but I haven't used couchsurfing for a while, I'm hoping to get involved with it again and hopefully become a host in the near future. I'm on couchsurfing as I know from experience there is nothing better than getting to know a place with a local and there's something very special about strangers placing trust in each other and forming a friendship, something the world definitely needs more of right now.

Interests

I'm a creative person who loves drawing and making things and appreciating the arts in whatever form. I have a strong passion for languages and hope to become a speech therapist. I love to be both in cities and surrounded by nature, I've grown up environmentally conscious and believe we have to do everything we can to protect nature, our people and our planet. One of my favourite but obscure hobbies is to find, identify and cook wild mushrooms. I'm also a person who doesn't take themselves too seriously, I have a very wild imagination and love fancy dress and just being silly.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite music is really an endless list so I won't even start to name any. I'm always looking for exciting new artists and bands and love enthusing over my favourites with people and sharing and swapping music.
Favourite authors include Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Margaret Atwood and Fyodor Dostoyevsky.
Some favourite films; Les Intouchables, Thelma and Louise, Interstellar, Hunt for the Wilderpeople and anything directed by David Lynch.
