Chi sono
Born and raised in the French country side by the Loire river in the land of castles and wine with a lot of winter and summer holidays in the mountains.
Five years of engineering school in the French Alps.
A life of expatriation around the world with a good share of adventures, outdoors, experiences, encounters, discoveries, travels, smells, sounds, lights, colors and people.
A bit of Indian spices !
And a fair dose of sensitivity, curiosity and independence.
This is me.
Perché sono iscritto su Couchsurfing
I have lived in many different countries, CS is a great opportunity to get to know my new environment and meet people there.
I cannot presently host people as I am not in my own flat but I am available to meet up.
Interessi
Outdoors, people, and the combination of both. My great loves are hiking/long trekking, camping and all types of outdoor activities in general, particularly in the mountains. Recently I started getting more serious about running and giving a try to trail running.
I did some paragliding, practised ice climbing, rock climbing, mountaineering. I am a very good skier too.
I also did a bit of scuba diving and as one of my last hosting countries was on the sea side, I tried sailing and surfing.
Besides this active life style and my work, I also like to stay quiet sometimes, to socialize and enjoy what urban life has to offer. I am also interested in reading, meditation, vegetarian diet, spiritual & personal development.

Musica, film e libri
I love science fiction, anticipation and fantasy movies ; I am fascinated with stories which take me to other worlds ... and the child in me also appreciates good animation movies at times !
There's always a book on my bedside table, my tastes go from historical stories to thrillers through adventure novels or personal development essays. Oh ! ... and comics of course.
Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto
One only ? I consider myself lucky to have had already many amazing experiences. Among the most memorable ones:
Being a humanitarian aid worker, working in war zones and conflict affected areas.
Living and working in India during almost 4 years as a first post-grader job.
Learning how to drive a motor bike for the first time of my life and in the heavy traffic of New Delhi ; and ended up driving a 350cc Enfield Bullet.
1 month away from civilization for a trekking across the indian Himalayas : Ladakh, Zanskar and Changtang.
But most important, having met, lived and worked with so many different people from so many different cultures and backgrounds around the world, and having experienced how much we are all connected and all alike as one Human race regardless of our culture, color or orientation.
