Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I am new to couch surfing. I hope to be able to visit other countries as a guest and be a host to others. I have been to a couch surfing meet up recently, it is great to be part of a community who love to travel and share so many stories of their fun and adventures seeing the world.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I love to sing along to music, so any songs with a nice tune you will hear me humming or singing along to. I like many genres of music and love discovering new songs to sing along to.

A fantastic book I have read recently was "The Stormlight Archive" by Brandon Sanderson. A gripping tale of a world completely different to ours. A childhood favourite was "Mortal Engines" by Philip Reeve. As an academic I find myself reading many more academic texts now, than reading for fun. But I now love to cheat when I am commuting or travelling by listening to audiobooks.

Movies: The labyrinth, The fifth element, Who's that girl, how to train your dragon... Just a few childhood favourites.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I have travelled across Western Australia through the wilderness. What always sticks in my mind was traveling at night time and turning off our lights. It was pitch black like you cannot believe, no streetlight in the distance. Just the stars bright in the sky.
