My name is Emily and I enjoy many many things in life, a few of which is traveling and living cheaply. While I am from the US, I have also lived in Austria on two separate occasions. Right now, I live in Dearborn Michigan with my husband, Stefan, our baby girl Aurora, and our dog, Duke.
I am a remote worker in quality analytics and I foster retired racing greyhounds. Currently we are not fostering dogs.
I have a self-sustainable garden that provides fresh food daily (except in winter) and a pet Silkie chicken named Arti who gives us fresh eggs.

We provide an excellent home environment for digital nomads with an office space available upon request.

We are in walking distance to a bus station that runs from the Detroit airport to the heart of downtown Detroit- no car, no problem.

We are in walking distance to two of the best museums and a top 10 attraction in the Detroit area: the Ford museum and the Green Field Village.

I speak English, German, and Spanish. I am currently learning Arabic.

We have a baby who is 4 months old. Hosting right now is a little more difficult for us, so shorter stays with surfers who don't expect us to be able to hang out are preferred. References are preferred. Your initial request is very important on how I will decide if you can stay with us.

we do accept first time couch surfers without references BUT you must be as detailed as possible in your request to stay. I will want to know why you are coming to Detroit, what your tentative plans are for your stay and why you choose to stay with us. If this information is not provided, your request may be denied.

I am a pretty big extrovert, which for me means that meeting new people is an amazing experience. Why would you book a hotel, when you could stay with friends that you just haven't met yet?
