ABOUT ME

I am a counselor at a charter school for at risk teens. I love to travel (four continents down, three to go), love my job, have been married for 6 years and am always seeking new knowledge and experiences.

Interests

Running and yoga. Organizing the Free the Children Club. Reading just about anything. Hosting Couch Surfers. The San Antonio Spurs. Travelling anywhere with a language barrier. Used book stores. Coffee Shops. Cooking. Reduce Reuse Recycle. The New York Times on Sunday afternoons. Wine and cheese plates. Developing countries. Farmers Markets.

Music: For the most part, I like jazzy, folksy, and piano driven tunes, especially by female artists. Joshua Radin, Regina Spektor, Frou Frou, Kate Havnevik, Travis, Tori Amos, Aimee Mann, Older Dave Matthews, Fiona Apple, Kate Earl, Feist..I'm not very cool.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The students whom I see each and every day are pretty amazing. Night walks through the Amazon Jungle, having a mother and baby whale just feet from me in the Pacific, the Sistine Chapel, Machu Picchu at dawn...let's hope there are more to come.
