About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Onwards to new Projects!

ABOUT ME

I'm always looking for a great story to tell through my photos. As the world becomes easier to travel, the possibilities to narrate stories become endless.
It was fortunate for me to study Literature for I acquired unique tools to understand the world and to translate that knowledge into pictures.
I believe our work should be shared, I believe economic retribution is not the only kind of reward; there's also the "moral retribution", the kind of compensation that comes when you help other people or make the culture move forward. I am mostly interested in that kind of satisfaction. That is why most of my work is findable for free at my flickr gallery: www.flickr.com/eneas

Besides photography and getting to know new stories I also like to share a good laugh with a beer and a couple of new or old friends.

PHILOSOPHY

I identify myself with this quote by John Berger:
"Never again will a single story be told as though it's the only one".
---
Stories, lives and the world is enriched when we take into account different points of view and make decisions based on what's good for everyone involved.

Music, Movies, and Books

I read more than I listen to music; I listen to music more than I watch movies.
So my list of books is pretty long. But for now I'll just mention "The Soccer War" by Ryszard Kapuscinski and "Honor Thy Father" by Gay Talese because those are the two I'm reading now.
I'm also currently exploring David Bowie's new album "The Next Day" wich I find enthralling and full of the sounds I like to hear from Mr. Bowie. I believe it is a magnificent, ver well crafted album.
However, I recognize my lack of education when it comes to Movies. I am uneducated and, thus, I like a lot of very different stuff, from the vissualy stunning "In the Mood for Love" by Kar Wai Wong, to the irrelevant "You've got e-mail" with the always lovely Meg Ryan. Such a mess.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-Sunsets at San Cristobal Hill in Santiago, Chile.
-The overwhelming solitude of Baltimore's poor Neighbourhoods.
-Coffee inside a warm coffee shop in Toronto while the streets are below zero outside.
- The reactions of your friends the first time they visit Times Square in New York.
- Being pursued by Argentinian hitmen after refusing to pay unrequested drinks in a dump near Florida Street in Buenos Aires.
- Chinese paper globes built with over a thousand pieces in Zozocolco, Veracruz.

- Love and voices of the people in more than 6 different languages and dialects all around the continent.

"Small things, big things"

Teach, Learn, Share

I believe I'm more a learner than a teacher. But, if you're interested in photography, latin american literature, or you just want to share a couple of impressions about English Lit, politics, worldview or life in general: I'm your man!
Currently, I'd like to learn about the development of European society and anti-capitalist movements.
