About Me

I'm a very happily married parent to 2 beautiful adopted girls; a liberal, trans, geeky, well-traveled, lover of different cultures, traditions, foods, and unfiltered wheat beer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My job means I spend a lot of time in stressful, high emotion situations. I'm on couchsurfing to decompress, to relax, to emotionally and physically get away (even if just a short drive and a day or so).

Music, Movies, and Books

I like instrumental movie soundtracks, '80's hair bands, SciFi and Fantasy books, action thrillers and suspenseful who-dunits. I tend to watch a lot of British tv crime dramas on Hulu and Netflix.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was lucky enough to SCUBA dive on one of the last remaining coral reefs in the world off the coast of Papua New Guinea.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love learning new things, discovering little secret restaurants and shops, and hidden treasures. I love to hear the stories of people's lives, how they became the person they are today.

I would love to teach you to make and share with you my amazing cheesy-garlic bread when I make a spaghetti dinner for you, or parmesan crusted chicken breasts.

I was raised in a very conservative Christian setting, and it has taken me a long time to make peace between my encultured spiritual side and my progressive views on women, LGBTQ, other faith traditions, and equality. I would enjoy talking about my journey as well as hearing your journey toward or away from spirituality and religion.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer an easy going, helpful, handy around the house and yard person, who will respect your space and time. I can offer you nice meals during my time, and good conversation over coffee in the morning or drinks in the evening.

I'm a good listener and as mentioned previously, would love to hear the story of you.
