About Me

I want to see the world and share my art, music, and yoga wherever I go. My sweetheart and I have a 9 year old girl and 10 year old boy who will be coming on some of our couch trip adventures.

(Please Note: We do not live close to New York City. We get a lot of requests from people who are visiting who want a tour of NYC. We live about 3 hours away from NYC in Bloomfield CT, and so if this is what you are looking for, please try a host who is closer and knows the city better. We are 10 minutes from BDL airport so we are convenient host for people flying in or out of there. We can show you good local music, and hiking around where I live. Happy Travels!)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meeting new people in a new place is one of the best parts of traveling! We want to make friends with people all over the world and we hope families may like to host our family in exchange for some art and music in the spirit of world friendship and paying it forward?

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - I love to play and listen to live music - all genres but mainly jam, ska, reggae, hippie, funk, bluegrass, love and listen to mostly live local bands but also love the classic Grateful Dead, Bob Marley, and especially Michael Franti, etc...
Movie - favorite is Harold and Maude because of the inspirational story and the sound track
Books - right now I'm reading "Big Magic" which is about creativity and how to work with inspiration.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I facilitate a student group that educates other students about violence and peace strategies.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach yoga and meditation, gardening and fermenting, science, art, guitar, and non-violent communication.
I'd like to learn about other cultures, languages, food, and music.
I can share stories, my songs, my art, and yoga tips.
Sometimes I travel with my 8 and 10 year old kids and I want them to meet other kids from other countries and learn about their cultures.
