About Me

I love travelling and to just pack my backpack and head out to new adventures, with not too many plans in mind to still have the opportunity to experience unforeseen situations and meet interesting people on the way. I have the feeling that it is always the people you meet that make travelling so special, so couchsurfing is a really cool thing for this.

At the moment, I am travelling by bicycle across Denmark and Norway with my tent. Although I love camping in the wild, it is sometimes also nice to have a couch to lay on or at least a solid roof above one's head :)

I also love the outdoors, when I go travelling nowadays it mostly means that I'll spend most of my time hiking :D I like hanging out with people but I'm also good with spending time on my own as I don't get lonely quickly (which comes in handy when you prefer to travel alone). I enjoy being outside and active, as in walking or trying not to fall off the slackline or jumping into a river (I'm learning stand-up paddling at the moment so the jumping aka falling into the river occurs quite often), and I also like sitting down with a cup of tea and a good book. I also like going out with friends to a pub with some music, or just spend the evening cooking and talking together.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To me, an important part of travelling is to meet people I wouldn't get to know otherwise. I want to keep up with this even when I'm not travelling, which is why I offer my couch to fellow travellers: bring stories, bring curiosity and get a home away from home in return.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Cycling up a hill on a hot Norwegian summer day (yes, they exist) and having a car stop by just to give me an ice cream. This, people, is kindness.
