About Me

Traveling full-time (South East Asia, Australia, United States, Europe, Africa) since 2016 'for close to nothing' looking for myself/some meaning, new creative ways to use my time/talents, and meaningful connections.

One quarter hippie, one quarter pirate, one quarter yogi, one quarter rockstar. Open-minded, free thinker, adventurer, eager to learn and connect, always up for a talk or a trip, naturally bonding with all sort of nomads and funny people out there who remind me every day that 'another life, another world is possible'.

Escaped Europe, my advertising job and the Rat Race after working in San Francisco (2015), London (2012-2014), Amsterdam (2012) and Milan, betraying my Master in Management and my family's and society's dream to see me 'well employed' and 'settled down'. Since then I spent most of the time between my beloved ocean, beach, palms and jungle mostly on Thai islands but also across Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia, Nepal, India and Sri Lanka. In my journey I had the opportunity to 'disconnect' and rediscover my love for myself and for nature, I started living in a more conscious, healthy and ecological way and eventually discovered Ashtanga yoga and started practicing every day. Plus, I developed a passion for the production and preparation of natural food and medicine, and plant-based/vegan cooking and remedies.

My other passion has always been music: it all started with my moms records from the 60/70s and her guitar, through 8 years studying classical piano, listening to music every free moment, to eventually perform as frontman of a couple of rock bands, and having trancendental ecstatic experiences squeezed between sand and stars, a sound system and the ocean...

My dream is to find a way to keep travelling and practicing forever, find places and partners to grow my own food and medicine and a way to have positive impact on my community.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the idea of locals helping travellers out and travellers sharing their experience, skills and time with locals: it can lead to very deep connection and gratitude and especially inspiration. And it's good karma!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Darwin to Perth (8800km, 40 days) via Gibb River road (4x4, mostly off road): never paid for camping/accommodation
Spent more then 6 months in Asia and three in Australia and never paid for accomodation :)
Quit the Matrix
Swimming on acid in the ocean... with dolphins.
