HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I sleep on couches and let other people sleep on mine.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was introduced to CS in the summer of '08 by a dear friend of mine when we went on pretty much the most epic college road trip ever. We volunteered at music festivals, explored magical forests, fell in with the underculture, lost one of our party to a ferocious night beast, and only slept in one hotel room the whole time. CouchSurfing made this trip not only possible, but way more awesome. We had several wonderful hosts along the way, who went far above and beyond the role of couch provider to give us everything from car maintenance lessons to tarot readings to coconut ice cream.
Since then, I've taken in couch surfers through my circle of friends, but haven't been involved with the site myself. Now that I finally have a little couch space of my own, I figure it's time to be properly involved in the community.
