In essence I am a communicator by profession, an adventurer by obsession, I suppose I am well traveled, well read and rich in experience. But really I live to learn and to expand my limits. I have lived enough to know how precious life is... how every moment counts.

I have packed a lot into my life and have experienced more in one life time then many do in several. I have been told that the adventures (and mis-adventures) I have had have made me the man I am . The most valuable thing in my life are the people who are in it!

In terms of my career I am a story teller by profession. I have been a magazine editor, photo journalist and public speaker and film maker. I am currently working on a series about people who make a difference.

I suppose I have been living a pretty extraordinary life. I love traveling, meeting new people, being in, on, and around water. I have a background in natural health and eco education. But most of all I love the process of becoming a better being !!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have done a lot of traveling in my career and getting to know people
who live in the communities I am traveling to is my favorite part of any adventure. Everyone has a story and we are all students of life. So I always love to stay in a real home with real people when I can.

My grandfather was a sea captain and traveled all his life and he told me that what he loved about traveling was learning from others. He would tell me that "everyone in every place have a different take on what it means to live a good life on the planet and there is no better education than being a good listener."
