About Me

Instagram harpur2543

I am a fun loving, easygoing friendly guy who loves travel and adventure. I have travelled extensively and just returned to Ireland after spending the summer in the States travelling and checking out the creative possibilities, getting some inspiration, scouting film locations, shooting some photography, doing a spot of writing and getting some R&R. I'm planning on heading back early next year to shoot a film in Nevada.

I have done a lot of travelling over the years including backpacking around Australia and South East Asia solo, I've met many amazing people along the way. I spent almost a year living in Thailand shooting documentaries, I cook a mean Thai curry.. I have also lived in London and Sydney.

I'm sad that my travel adventures are over for the moment but look forward to meeting a few travellers and showing them some hidden gems.

I love running and cycling and am looking at running a second marathon soon, maybe the Great Wall of China. One of the things on my bucket list is to to cycle from Ireland to China but if I'm feeling a bit lazy, I might just go as far as Bangkok.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One of the things that I love about travelling is meeting great people from all over the world. I'm back in Ireland for a few months and can host occasionally or if I can't, I 'm sometimes to happy to catch up with fellow travellers.

Interests

I have a lot of interests, I like to keep fit and try to run a few times a week. I moved away from the corporate world and am now ploughing my way through the creative world of film. I am a director / producer in the making and soon to shoot my first feature.
