ABOUT ME

I'm a quietly confident person, very chilled out and easy going. I like to be able to sit and take in my surroundings just as much as I like to participate in them. I am polite and friendly, and willing to help anyone that passes me by. Since an early age, I have enjoyed learning about different cultures and customs, but visiting different countries in the usual holiday style, ie, hotels and going to the usual touristy hotspots, has left me feeling a little deprived of the 'true' travelling experience.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe you should take each day as it comes, too much planning can end in disappointment. I'm a firm believer that a dream should be followed and if it doesn't work out at least you've tried - only regret the things you haven't done.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I joined in June and since then I have participated by hosting, surfing and going to cs events.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing has opened up a whole new world to me...I don't think I would ever go back to the 'normal' way of travelling. I love meeting new people and sharing new experiences with them. I think it is the best way to get to know a place and to see sights that are off the beaten track. I was maybe a little apprehensive about travelling alone for the first time, but now I can't wait for my next adventure :).

Interessen

I love art, my favourite artist being Salvador Dali; playing guitar; going out with my friends; meeting new people; exploring new places...obviously travelling.

I have an eclectic taste in music. I believe that music is a great enhancer of a particular atmosphere you are trying to create, I also think this to be true of emotions and moods.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I think there are too many things that could be said here. But the most amazing thing that I have done so far has to be couchsurfing. Without this experience I would not have met the many people I have met, seen half of the things I have seen, or even been advised of different places to travel. It is a true community, one which I hope to be a part of for a long time.
