About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoy the now

ABOUT ME

Quiet and shy, but outgoing once you get past the initial meeting.

PHILOSOPHY

Treat others the way you'd like to be treated.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Since the start of the USA road trip I have surfed, met and travelled with many CFs. No bad experiences at all. Some people I've met along the way I will be friends for life. I really just can't wait to get home and start returning the favour to couchsurfing by hosting and to meet the world!

Interests

I like to keep fit. I do this by running, biking and swimming mostly. I also enjoy a good game of squash. Skiing is my favourite activity in the winter and on a windy summers day I love going down to the beach to attempt kiteboarding (very much a learner). Travelling I believe is something that was engrained to me at birth so I can't stay put in one place for too long, I want to be exploring and discovering new things!

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a movie buff and would watch almost anything. Reading is something I don't do enough of but books written by Bill Bryson, Lee Child, Robert Harris and more recently David Sedaris are the types of books I enjoy. I like all genera of music! Artists I often listen to are (in no particular order) Andy McKee, Tommy Emmanuel, Bon Iver, The Beatles, Kasabian, John Mayer, The XX, Milky Chance, Fleet Foxes and the Funky Monkey Babys!
LOVE blues.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Skydiving in Switzerland, walking through the Venetian canals in the evening, hiked through the picturesque Cinque Terre, walked across the streets of Berlin assisted by the delightful Ampelmann, drank port wine in Porto, saw the beautiful Crater Lake and visited the giant Redwoods in California, overnight trip down the crack of the Grand Canyon, hiked up to the top of Angels Landing in Zion, Dusky Arches at Arches NP. It would be unfair to narrow it down to one.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to cook, my mother and sisters are excellent cooks and by luck I have inherited some of my mother's flare. I would attempt to make all types of cuisine but I'm best at making Japanese food.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Guam, Italy, Portugal, Switzerland, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
