About Me

Born and raised in Venezuela, Argentina, and Brasil.

Just moved back from Bogotá, Colombia, where I lived three years and I’m currently traveling around Italy.

Started traveling and moved to another country when I was 5 years old, so I’ve traveled by land throughout most of Venezuela, North and Southeast of Brasil, East and Central Colombia and the province of Buenos Aires in Argentina. I’m a great guide around these parts and an excellent host despite just recently joining Coachsurfing.

I like to describe myself as a multidisciplinary woman, so I have several passions like cooking, swimming, making cocktails (I also created a brand for my own mandarinetto liqueur), singing, graphic design, photography and a whole lot of different things. I love Nintendo 64 videogames, love films and most music genres, so another of my hobbies is curating playlists and selecting music when I’ve been invited to DJing gigs.

My interests are running, hiking, lifting weights, going to the beach to swim, do snorkeling and sunbathe, going out for food and drinks, karaoke, dancing and getting to know new places.

I used to study Nursing in the Universidad Central de Venezuela in Caracas until the pandemic hit in 2020, then I started working remotely with banking platforms and continue doing it to this day as it gives me a better work life balance and the possibility to travel anywhere I want while still working. I’m very empathetic and I love helping others, I consider myself easy going, sweet, trustworthy and in general a positive person who’s always eager to experience the best things in life.

I come from a big traditional family from Los Llanos in Venezuela, although we have always lived in a small town called Bejuma, in the Carabobo state and also have Italian and French ancestry on my Argentinian dad’s family. While I was brought up in a diplomatic lifestyle due to my dad’s job, I’m very down to earth, honest, humble, respectful and always open to learn from others.

I highly value reciprocity and expect others to treat me with the same amount of respect as my philosophy is to always be good and do good unto others. Life is precious but fragile and we have to make the most of every single second we have.

I like smart conversation and I’ve been called a great host many times by my friends, as I normally cook up delicious breakfasts and other meals.

I’m very into cleaning and keeping spaces organized, not just my own but also others’ as it’s a basic sign of respect for myself and above all others.

In case it’s not already obvious, this is not a dating app. I’m not looking for hook-ups and won’t accept anyone’s indecent proposals in exchange for a place to sleep. I’m a respectful person and demand nothing less than the same level of decency.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m traveling throughout Italy and since I want to visit as many places as possible, I’m looking for hosts in the cities I’m visiting.

I also want to make good friends that can include me in their plans, especially if they’re family oriented because I want to immerse myself in the true Italian life experience and improve my language knowledge. I’m hoping I’ll find good people to make everlasting friendships and memories of my visit.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite director of all time is David Lynch, so I’ve obviously watched Twin Peaks several times along with the rest of his work, but I also love Kubrick, Tarkovsky, Bergman, Fellini and the all time masterpiece of our generation, Shrek 2.

You can check out my Spotify profile if you want to take a peak at my playlists and my Discogs account to check out my vinyl collection:

Music genres I love the most are disco, funk, house, indie rock and folk, dream pop, shoegaze, hip hop, bossa nova, jazz, música popular brasileira, reggaeton, bachata, salsa, merengue, and I could go on.

I’m not an avid reader these days, but my favorite book is Piedra de Mar by Francisco Massiani, I also love Vicente Gerbasi’s and Alejandro Oliveros’ poetry (both Venezuelan authors), Jane Austen, Agatha Christie’s crime stories, history and mythology books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Run the 2024 Rome marathon.

Teach, Learn, Share

I’m always super open to sharing my knowledge of anything with anyone while also learning everything they have to teach me as well. I was a Portuguese teacher at the Brazilian Embassy’s Institute in Caracas for a few months, so I could teach some Portuguese and Spanish. I love soaking up all I can learn in new experiences.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Fun conversations, delicious homemade meals and cocktails, excellent music, stories from my trips, recommendations for future adventures, language advices and maybe some singing?
