PHILOSOPHY

Passionate dreamer, entrepreneur and traveler.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like to invite people in, get to know new people and show them the off the beaten path of sights of Copenhagen as well as cook for and with them. On the other end of the deal I hope to find likeminded people who would like to do the same for me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had travelers stay at my place for one to two days up to a week. Usually I will show them around Christianshavn and the free town of Christiania. If possible I will even get to know new places in Copenhagen when my guest or guests show me places they have heard about and that I don't even know exists. I enjoy laid back people with whom I can have fun, discuss, cook and experience the city with.

I get about 10-20 requests everyday and naturally cannot host everyone.

Therefore I have decided to set-up certain criteria as a general guideline. This does not mean that they will be absolutely qualifying or disqualifying, but if you want to be sure to be taken into consideration please be aware of the following:

Response rate 70% or above: CS is a community which is build on reciprocity. If you do not take the time to answer your incoming requests I am not likely to offer you to stay. Personally I get a lot of requests and I answer every single one of them.

Reviews, the more the better and generally at least five: I know it is tough to find hosts for new-bees with this criteria, but my experience has been that people with a lot of reviews in general are more in sync with what my expectations of couchsurfers are.

Cultural exchange: CS is a cultural exchange, not a free bed. Please be aware of this when you write your request. It does shine through.

Having read my profile: It is nice to know that you actually took the time to read my profile before applying. Please verify this by starting your request with 'Let's get tropical'
