About Me

CURRENT MISSION

We love meeting new people with common interests from around the world.

ABOUT ME

We love meeting people from different cultures and countries. We are looking for singles and couples with common interests in the arts, humanities, music and food. We are members of all of the major San Francisco museums and love bringing our friends with us.

Our home is large and comfortable with a separate guest room and bathroom. We have a dog and cat who are both very friendly, but our home is probably not a great idea if you are allergic to animals.

We have four sons, two of them living with us, 18 and 28 years old.

We live about 30 minutes outside of San Francisco with easy access to the city by train. The express train takes 24 minutes to arrive in San Francisco. The area we live in is right next to a nature preserve on the San Francisco Bay. The area has walking and bicycle trails and lots of water birds. It is a great place to relax after a long day exploring San Francisco.

Greg works in high tech and Patty runs her own website for Colombians: AntojandoAndo.com.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We would love to host singles and couples from around the world who have common interests. Age does not matter to us. We enjoy young adults as much as mature ones. We love hearing stories about travels and life experiences. We connect most easily with people that are well-educated and have broad interests in the arts and humanities.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have traveled a lot ourselves, but have not done couch surfing. However, living near San Francisco, we have had many, many guests stay with us over the years and are quite comfortable with other people in our home. Patty is from a large extended family in Colombia, so we constantly have family and friends of family visiting.

We discovered CouchSurfing when a friend of our son's was CouchSurfing across the US and came to visit us for a week. She told us all about her experiences and it immediately caught our attention as a wonderful way to meet people and make new friends. She also introduced us to several other people that were CouchSurfing in San Francisco and we ended up spending many days in San Francisco and Napa Valley with them.
