Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have always played host to musicians who are touring through my home town and always enjoy showing them around and introducing them to the great audiences we have here in Scotland, right now however I'm completing a series of long distance cycling event, Each of the 4 must be in different countries so trying to find nice people and a place to rest the legs before the events.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music : I am a fan of the lesser well known artists. I really enjoy synth, pop, indie, punk, DIY, folk. Artists I like include Diet Cig, Jeffrey Lewis, Captain Chaos, the Wombats, Paws, King Creosote, Boo Herdine, Withered Hand

Books - Mostly one for books based on real events, or Indeed manuals, mainly mountaineering, sports or nutrition based, or self help, love them. they all claim the rest are rubbish- which I find amusing.

Films - I enjoy a big range, comedies, rom-coms, Horror, Documentaries, Period dramas are probably the only thing I am not keen on.

Big fan of the Grinch happy to watch it every Christmas!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think one of the notably most amazing things I have done was a tour from Vancouver to Newfoundland with my brother and a friend in a car we bought for $900. No one thought it would last as long as it did but we made it, lots of meeting new people everyday and making new friends, and lots of sleeping in Walmart carparks waking up early morning before hitting the next town. But on the whole it was an epic trip.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a climbing coach, mostly working with kids though so if you're looking to refine your technique and get into the V12's I'm not your guy, but if you'd like to try it or are newer I'm sure I'd have bunch of tricks to help you improve.

Sometimes I'm a good cook, but it's very hit or miss, I work on instinct, sometimes it's heaven on earth. othertimes, bland at best....

Hours of chatter, Some music from my guitar, a photo opportunity with a bloke in a Kilt. I can do the dishes too!

I have also done a fair bit of dog sitting for two different family's in Scotland. More than happy to watch yours!
