About Me

I experimented Couchsurfing when I was travelling in Canada during one year. A great experience about sharing and meeting amazing people. I would be glad to return the favor in France.

One of my favorite author, Pierre Bottero, wrote in one of his books : "If you really want to be happy, begin by looking at the world". I don't know if we can call that a philosophy of life but this sentence made a very big impact on me. I travel because I want to see the beauty of our world but I keep in mind that this beauty is everywhere. Sometimes I just need a blue sky to be happy.
But even if I always loved the quote, there were something that bothered me for a long time : it's nice to be happy just by looking at the world but life should be more than just that. What about sharing ? What about the people you meet on the road and the knowledge and experiences your get from them (and the ones they get from you)? What about solidarity ? What about the smiles strangers offer to you ?
I had to get lost in Alaska with an awesome german guy that I met in a farm in Ontario to realize that the quote didn't say : "If you really want to be happy, look at the world" but "If you really want to be happy, BEGIN by looking at the world".

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's a way to discover and enjoy what come after that beginning.

Interests

I like reading, running, playing video games (my favorite games : Red Dead Redemption, Journey, Ico, Pokemon, Fire Emblem, Final Fanatsy) , I play the clarinet and various flutes. I'm also an astronomy amateur.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once I offered a cookie to a guy even if I didn't want to share.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have a native american flute with me, I can share a little song!
I can also explain to you the starry sky (if we are in a place where we can see the stars), show you the constellations and the planets (of course I know better the sky from the northern hemisphere than from the southern hemisphere).

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Chile, England, Ireland, Italy, Mali, Morocco, Peru, Scotland, South Africa, Spain, United States
