I graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a degree in French after spending 6 months in Orléans, France. I work as a study abroad coordinator at USM and I love everything about traveling, languages, and different cultures. Also, I'm on a roller derby team in Hattiesburg and if I get a chance to host or meet you, I'll definitely tell you all about it!

It depends if I can host surfers or not, but I can definitely show you around Hattiesburg!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I hosted a few people in Orléans, France, and I couchsurfed through Portugal, Spain, & Italy. It seriously would not have been the same experience without meeting the people I did. They were helpful, kind, and wonderful human beings. I hope to continue having these experiences and I love being able to show people around Hattiesburg, the hidden gem of Mississippi.

Interests

I love having meaningful conversations with people I have just met. I tend to confide in those people more than people I see every day. Languages have also become a passion of mine. Also, I love learning about the differences between cultures. Being from the US--and especially from the deep south in Mississippi--it is interesting to share and learn about the differences.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have bits of random knowledge. I tend to like to try out random things...roller derby, Russian, karate, etc. I was even captain of my bowling team in high school. I love to learn about anything different...especially with languages. I find them fascinating. Especially, to truly learn a language you need to learn about the culture to understand the context and depth of the words.

If you are in town when we are having a roller derby bout, you'll have to come!
