ABOUT ME

I am extremely personable and easy going! I love meeting new people. I am very laid back, laugh easily, and can be pretty kooky at times! I love learning new things, and especially learning more about the world through new and broader perspectives. I am avidly interested in travel and all the opportunities for learning, adventure, and new friendships that it entails!

PHILOSOPHY

We only have so much time in our lives, so we should spend as much of it as we can doing what makes us the most happy in that moment. Friends and experiences are the best things in life, and I want to have as many of them as possible before my time is up!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently I rent a room and my housemates are not onboard for me to host overnight surfers, but please be in touch if you are in the Merced area and would like to get together, or would like recommendations on restaurants and what to do in the Merced, Turlock, Modesto, Mariposa, Berkeley, or Oakland areas of California. I LOVE eating out, varied cuisine, beer, wine, champagne, and coffee, and I am happy to give advice.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed in Madrid, Paris, and Brussels and met the most amazing people. I traveled with 3 out of 4 of my hosts and it was a phenomenal experience! This website was such a genius idea and I love sharing travels, stories, and my life with others and gaining a greater understanding of this world through this site!

Music, Movies, and Books

Atonement, Love Actually, Stranger Than Fiction, among a few others, but to be honest I am not a big movie or tv watcher. Books on the other hand I cannot get enough of! there are too many to count, but a few favorites include: Walden; or, Life in the Woods, The Sun Also Rises, The Importance of Being Earnest (a play, but still), and many, many more!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saw 10,000 year old cave paintings in Las Cuevas El Castillo in Spain.

Teach, Learn, Share

The older I get (and I'm still very young) the more I feel that it is not what you accumulate in this life, especially when it comes to wealth, but it is what you've done with yourself and the people you meet along the way that make the most difference in not only your life, but in other's lives that you touch. Life is about experiences and people! And the more of those you have, the richer you are.
