About Me

I'm a lover of discovery, change, and healthy futures; a professional people-watcher and questioner of all things questionable. I like to see for myself, go out and get bored; learn what we're all about.

But beyond all the foofy self-description, I promise I am a clean and respectful guest. I've couchsurfed like 50 times, and every time it's been wonderful. Sure I am an American guy who wears backwards hats, but I am also considerate of your personal space and surrounding culture.

And apparently I use the word 'foofy'.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

O jeez I've seen it all: met a reefer-addicted cat in Belgium, got stuck on a statue in Germany, fell through a glass table in the UK, went on some news channel in Austria, the list goes on...

Interests

For almost 10 years I was obsessed with philosophy: western, eastern, scientific, artistic, until I came upon anti-philosophy philosophy. Then I quit entirely to pursue interests in art, music, and film. Now I'm mostly intrigued by cutting edge media: interactive public installations, multi-channel soundscapes, and live cinema.

More randomly I like camping, ping-pong, snorkeling, reading scifi, eating vegetables, dancing haphazardly, exploring odd places, marveling at scenery, and playing Zelda. Ok mostly playing Zelda.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

shrooms.

Teach, Learn, Share

My over-arching passion is to design immersive multi-screen video environments for the display of multi-linear stories. My intent is to open new possibilities for the way we produce and experience cinema, so that we don't sit but stroll, mingle, and dance our way through the viewing arena, choosing our own focus in scenes and subplots as active observers:
