About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel to awesome places as cheap as possible.

ABOUT ME

Good question, I'll let you know when I figure that out.

PHILOSOPHY

"Sleep when your dead"- go and experience life

"Fortune favors the bold"

"the proper function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days trying to prolong them. I shall use my time" Jack London

"Be excellent to each other"- Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, maybe if the world followed this advice...

"I'm not sure what I'm looking for, but I'll know when I find it" - my thoughts on life

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Came to the Philippines to work for 6 months and I stayed for 1.5 years. Met a lot of great people locally and from all over the world with CS Cebu. I missed being active in CS when I returned to the US so with the help of a few other CSers we've been working on getting the missoula chapter more active and hosting meet ups and in general hanging out together.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first couchsurfing experience was in college when i didn't have a place to live and slept on a lot of friends couches. I was introduced to CS by one of these friends.
Only recently did I start attending CS meetups starting in Cebu, Philippines, then in Bangkok, Thailand, help CS Missoula get more active and become a presence on Facebook. Did a lot of socializing with CL Kuala Lumpur. Had many wild times with this crew.

I've also found CS useful traveling through SE Asia contacting other CSers getting tips and advice about the upcoming places I was heading. As soon as I find a stable place to live you're welcome to stay at my place, wherever that will be.

Interests

Traveling(obviously), movies, live music, Karaoke, enjoying the moment, irony, seeing and experiencing new things, nightlife, history, sociology, river rafting, tubing, scuba diving, mountain biking, urban biking, and more to come as soon as I can try more things....

Music, Movies, and Books

I am interested in seeing more movies not native to my country; for music whatever that doesn't burn the soul.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Fulfilled a childhood dream of going to Hong Kong; Hung on the back of a truck riding the crazy roads of Koh Phangan on NYE's while coming down off of shrooms...and not die. Bribed my way out of a country. Experienced a powerful emotion once. On a technicality I circumnavigated the world once.

Also won a star trek jeopardy show at a major convention in vegas (nerdy)

Teach, Learn, Share

maybe it would be cool to bring something local from your area of origin or the place you were just at and offer it as a give to your host for offering a couch. I've done this before staying with some people in Canada.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share a lot of great stories, involving myself and just people I've met along the way. I have a knack at adapting to pretty much any situation.
