IMPORTANT: If you’re a dog lover, our apartment is for you!

We are Gyöngyi and my husband, Paul, from Cluj-Napoca, Romania and we are on this platform because we love the couchsurfing community and spirit.

We’re back (for now) in Cluj-Napoca, after traveling full-time for 3 years in our self-converted campervan.

And we have a dog. A german shepherd mix, Devi, who’s anxious to meet you also but who’s a bit skeptical in the beginning (aren’t we all?!). He’s a good dog (all dogs are good dogs…) and with that being said we’d like to underline that he is very much a DOG. :)

He’s a big and important part of our life so - if you’re staying with us – he (the dog) might not be that happy with being ignored.
And of course, he sheds a lot. If you decide to visit us, be aware, there’s a good amount of dog hair despite our everyday effort to get rid of it. We call it “dog glitter” :)

OK, so about us, the human part of the family! :)

... well, we ARE changing every day :)
There are some constants though: Me, Gyöngyi, likes long talks with wine about all sorts of topics, mainly interested in human emotions, psychology, human behaviour, brain functions and feelings and such, Paul is always excited about history, football (Arsenal forever) and finances. We’re a weird mix of everything.

We are also vegetarian. The easiest way to say it is we don't eat meat or fish or any animals which used to be alive before ending on our plates.

What do we like?... We love mountains, in all shapes and forms. Hiking, sleeping in a tent, looking at the stars at night, being in nature as much as possible.
And we also love spending time with people. Sharing ideas, believing that all people are different yet very much the same. We love animals (obviously). We love long conversations and sometimes we love the silence also. We love good wines and beers. And sometimes cheese.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We want to know the culture, the food, the language of other countries, not only buildings, so we think that couchsurfing is a good way to do that.
We would like to share time talking with people of the places we're passing through, with another culture, other language and customs.

We want to meet people, make friends, and immerse ourselves in new cultures!
