About Me

A pretty typical guy in most aspects. Gay, gaymer, outdoor enthusiast, burning man go'er. Pretty adventurous, unless it comes to food (vegetarian who doesn't like mushrooms - how unfair is that?!).

Laid back and open minded here, comfortable around nudity if that's your thing, etc.

Live in the Astoria neighborhood of New York, which is in Queens. A lively neighborhood packed with bars/restaurants, shops, and is one of the more diverse neighborhoods with Greek, Egyptian, and many others. It's about a 30-45 minute subway ride into Midtown.

Unfortunately I'm not a cook. I read about other hosts who cook for their guests and unless you want bland semi-burnt food, we might want to dine or order out.

Also have a cat, Phoebe, who will most likely keep to herself, but this would not be a good place for someone who is allergic.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Open to the idea of meeting interesting people from around the world! [I do prefer hosting surfers from other countries, as there is a bit more cultural exchange that can happen.]

Interests

PC Gaming, hiking, camping, art festivals, music, dancing, beaches, forests, mountains. I pretty much like it all!

In March 2016, went on my first trip outside the US to Costa Rica where I also went scuba diving for the first time! Amazing! Being bit by the travel bug I joined a friend on a trip that November to visit Vietnam and Cambodia. Argentina and Chile was December 2017. 2019 took me to Croatia (Oct) and Thailand (Nov)! Visited Turkey for Thanksgiving in 2021. 2022 brought me to Slovenia (Sept). Mexico was my first travel destination of 2023, amazing!

Next up? Burning Man 2023!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Quite varied, from classical to rock. Musicals, jazz, opera, pop.

Movies: Galaxy Quest, Gone with the Wind, Pixar (anything!), Shortbus, again - all over the place.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been to Burning Man five times now (next time might be 2023?). Can't get enough of the self expression that goes on there. There's no place like it! This is where I also became comfortable being around nudity and the nudist lifestyle.
