Hello, hola, salut, ciao! This is Ilaria! Ciao, sono Ilaria!

I am always interested in hearing about other people's stories and interests. "Everyone has their own planet" - my grandma told me. I think it is very true, indeed.

I am still creating my own planet, but I can tell you a bit about myself, in the meantime: I like deep conversations, nature, theatre (Like a looot!!! Planning to go to Edimburgh for the Fringe next year - 2024), I love authenticity, psychology, learning about other cultures, small miniatures, the little details, random acts of kindness, curious people, the colour pink, the moment when you see your friends after some time and you feel like everything is gonna be fine, surrealism, languages (I feel very lucky to have a decent command of 3. Currently learning Spanish), sunsets and sunrises, helping people to learn Italian, Friday night when everything seems possible, learning more about the world, shaping my purpose...

I am a bit shy at first, but happy to open up to people as soon as a connection can be established. I consider myself an extroverted introvert.

I love meeting people from other countries and listening to their stories.

I am not a huge fan of small talks, but we can start from there. :)

I like traveling and I had the chance to go to France, the UK, Belgium, Switzerland, Spain and Ireland but I'm planning to see many other countries! :) Traveling helped me a lot in becoming more open-minded, it's always interesting to me to meet people from other countries and of different cultures.

I studied languages at university (French and English) and I am now a teacher of Italian. I had different jobs in my life that allowed to discover new things about myself and the world. I learned a lot from good and bad times. Life is a learning experience and I want to keep learning!

I was born in the countryside and I loved being surrounded by nature and animals. I try to spend as much time outdoors when I can, because I mainly work from home.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would like to meet up with people and learn about their stories. I am planning to go to the Edimburgh Fringe Festival this August.
