Hey there!
What you need to know about me is that I am calm, friendly and sometimes a bit serious, but get reasonably talkative and (hopefully) funny when the atmosphere is right. I teach English as a Foreign Language and I'm also a blogger. Not sure whether that makes you think better of me lol.
I lead a simple life: I do yoga; I move around the city by bike or public transport; I eat clean and healthy; I love travelling (but rarely do recently, for obvious reasons), reading, music (oh I love music!), walking, and animals. I've got a pet cat called Cat, but I'm an animal person rather than a cat person.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I don't get to travel very often. Few of us do, nowadays. The main reason for me to be here on Couchsurfing is the people, because I don't reckon you can fully immerse youself in a culture unless you talk to local people. I also prefer to see any town or city through the eyes of a local rather than a travel magazine or something. Staying with someone also means you get to see how they live and what they eat, which is an essential part of any culture.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: indi-pop, electropop, electronic music by various artists. Some musicians I've been listening to recently are Elderbrook, Chris Luno, Imagine Dragons, Bishop Briggs, and others.

Books: 1984, Lord of Rings, The Kite Runner, Shantaram, Pride and Prejudice and many many more. I also love self-help.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Quit a stable but badly-paid and stressful job at university to become a yoga instructor and then to become an English teacher again, but a freelance one this time. And now loving my job!
